Taking Care Fund--COVID-19 Emergency Relief
At a time with much uncertainty, one thing is clear: the #dctheatre community is strong, creative, generous, and resilient. Our industry, both organizations and individuals, will face tough choices and financial uncertainty in the weeks and months ahead. We need your support now.

theatreWashington’s Taking Care Fund was established to provide emergency assistance to Washington-area theater professionals in times of unforeseen financial hardship. In light of the COVID-19 outbreak, we are opening the fund for grants to theatre professionals who face financial hardship from immediate closings, postponed productions, and other lost wages.

theatreWashington is committing $100,000 from the Taking Care Fund. The Revada Foundation has generously contributed $10,000 for this emergency relief and DC theater artists Rachel Grossman and Colin K. Bills have contributed another $5,000. We’re asking you to help raise a $115,000 match. Every dollar raised through this fundraiser will be allocated to direct relief to theater professionals in need at this time.

theatreWashington is a 501c3 organization. The amount of your donation to the Taking Care Fund is tax-deductible. If you have any questions or would like further information about the Taking Care Fund, please contact Amy Austin, CEO, theatreWashington at aaustin@theatrewashington.org.
